It seems like every time you turn around, someone is dealing with a hacked account. It doesn’t matter what platform you use — if it’s online, it can be targeted. When my own account was compromised years ago, it was a wake?up call. One minute everything was fine, and the next I was locked out, messages were being sent without my knowledge, and I had to scramble to regain control.
It was frustrating, stressful, and honestly a little scary. But it also taught me a lot about how important it is to protect your digital life.
Here are the key takeaways that still matter today:
- Use strong, unique passwords for every account
- Turn on two?factor authentication wherever possible
- Be cautious of unexpected messages or login prompts
- Keep your recovery information up to date
- Don’t ignore small warning signs — they often mean something bigger is happening
- If something feels “off,” act fast
Getting hacked is never fun, but recovering is possible — and staying proactive can prevent a lot of headaches.
So working together we can make a difference – let’s don’t let these kind of people ruin it for us that love working online and hurting the people that we care about.
Before I close, I also seen an email today that is a different type of scam that I have not seen before but the headline was Commission Transfer and I know for a fact that all the sites that I earn commissions from would not be sending me an email with a link to have to claim my commissions – so please, please be careful and take EXTRA precaution as these hackers are very, very active right now.
