  1. memories – funny ad frustrating if you remember the Hotmail texts you used to get. Turned you into a full time interpreter and still OTl – could not resist LOL

Great post Nancy. Do we really talk like that :

    l8r!

    • Thanks for the comment and yea scary that we talk like that – this is not bad – you should see what my granddaughter comes up with lol

  2. OTI? That wasn’t in the list! Now I’ll have to find out what that one is.Funny, but when I started texting, I was wondering why everyone kept dropping Little Old Ladies into the conversations. 😀

Oh, that reminds me – emoticons/emojis are a part of it too!

It’s all good and well but, I think using the acronyms and abbreviations in speech is taking it just a little too far. It would be great if the young ones would learn more of their language (especially English, since it’s one of the most difficult to master) before replacing it with letters!

Anyway, some of the abbreviations came from business (ASAP) and I recognize some ot the others from military/aeronautical radio messaging (thx). So they didn’t all just appear out of the air when texting started. (FYI) 😀

II wonder when someone writes a BOOK with all these abbreviations in ti in place of good old fashioned words…

    OMG!

    • Well I took it meant OTI (On the internet) but when I looked it up – says there are 21 definitions for it so guess take your pick lol
AND yes the emoticons/emojis are fun also – just think most kids now adays are talking like this

    • Oh I know the first time I seen them I was so confused but am getting use to them – once in awhile I run in to one that I have to look up OTI and thank God for Google I would be lost without it lol
